COVID Catch up, Sports & Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. It is allocated to children who are looked after by the local authority, those who have been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years (also known as Ever 6 FSM) and for children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.

PE and Sport Premium

The PE and sport premium is additional governmental funding that is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils.

Swimming Statistics

We use the school swimming pool for the second half of the summer term and weather permitting the first half of the autumn term.

Schools need to publish how many pupils within their year 6 cohort are meeting the national curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations. The percentage of our 6 cohort for 2020-21 who could swim 25m was 70%.
